Welcome to ISO!

India and Senegal enjoy excellent relations not only in the political field but also in economic and commercial spheres. Bilateral cooperation is promoted within the framework of a number of agreements in the areas of trade, economy, science and technology and culture.

India is among the important trading partners of Senegal. Major items of bilateral trade are inorganic chemicals (primarily phosphoric acid), raw cashew and metal scrap, cotton (products), meat products and drugs & pharmaceuticals, textiles, transport equipment including rolling stock for railways, locomotives, passenger vehicles, agricultural equipment, etc..

The bilateral trade volume has the potential to grow in the near future given the convergence of interests in terms of Senegals growing economy, its need for investment in crucial infrastructure sectors and the Indian companies endeavour to explore new markets and share their expertise in various fields with new partners.
